Solid Rustic Timber To make these rustic benches we select top quality, unsorted, kiln-dried pine. Each bench is cut to size and finished in our signature rustic style. This leaves in lots of natural timber characteristics and features. Mother Nature’s own stamp of approval. In this style you can expect to find splits, cracks, knots, shakes, waney edges, bows and twists, along with machine marks in keeping with the rustic style. These are the qualities that set our furniture apart from the rest. And due to the nature of solid wood every dining table will be different. Truly unique. One of a kind. Please note that placing your item near to a heat source can cause movement within the timber which may exaggerate these natural features. 4 Hairpin Leg Colours With four colours of hairpin legs to choose from you can create a really iconic bench. Choose to match your existing colour palette, or go for an accent colour, or very fashionable copper or brass. The hairpin legs are made from steel, which is then either spray painted with a paint colour or electro-plated with a thin layer of real copper or brass. The result is a metal leg that is strong and durable, and also looks fantastic. The colour options are: Raw Steel Pastel Green Copper Brass As the Raw Steel option for legs are unfinished they may be prone to rust over time. This can easily be treated with some wire wool. Or if you’d like to finish them yourself you could add a clear wax or oil. Paint or powder coating can provide a colour finish. 5 Fine Wax Finish Colours To finish these benches we use your choice of one of our supreme wax polishes. The finish is professionally applied with the highest attention to detail. And as the wax soaks into the different grains and features, it enhances their look and brings them to life.
