Originally built in the 1950s for Ercol’s in-house designers, this simple stool was crafted to withstand the everyday strains of a busy working studio. Lovingly made by hand to capture that same passion and quality of the original design, to this day each Barstool is made within Ercol’s British workshops by expert craftsmen using only the highest quality hardwoods.Carved from elm, a classically shaped seat exhibits such renowned carpentry with lightly curved indentation that moulds to the body and Windsor wedge joints flushed to maintain its smooth line.
