Each piece is hand-sanded to a smooth finish, creating a sleeker, contemporary finish to the solid wood, while still leaving plenty of natural wood features. Five Fine Wax Finishes & Unique Stain The Hunter round dining set is finished in a choice of wax or stain. The wax is applied by hand, working to enhance the look of the grain and feature of the wood, bringing it to life. The choice of wax colours are: Walnut Teak Smoke Pine Medium Oak Rustic Pine Unique to the pieces of furniture in the Hunter collection is our Ebony finish. It’s a dark stain that’s then finished with clear protective oil. Both are hand applied as part of the handcrafting process. The stain creates a beautiful rich dark colour on the wood, and the oil leaves it with a matte finish. As with all natural wood furniture, we would strongly recommend that you protect our oak furniture from heat and moisture, with the use of coasters, heat protective mats and other precautionary measures. When viewing on screen, colours can look different from one screen to another. This makes it less reliable than seeing the real finished timber before your own eyes.
