Both sides of the Twin Comfort mattress feature generous layers of hypo-allergenic fillings with a robust and durable open coil spring system sandwiched between them. The open coil spring unit, also known as a Bonnell spring system, is made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. The mattress border is strengthened by a thick, rod-edge wire that helps to avoid border breakdown and allows you the full width of the sleeping surface.
