Fully upholstered in a woven damask cover, the mattress has a hand tufted finish and features generous layers of allergy free fillings, ideal for those with respiratory problems. Durable and robust, its spring system is made up of rows of hourglass shaped open coil springs connected at the top and bottom by spiral wires, known as helical wires. To reduce the sensation of rolling off, a thick rod-edge wire is attached to the border springs on both sides. This strengthens the mattress edge and allows the full width to be utilised. Set up as a platform style, solid top divan set, you can also upgrade to a sprung edge base. This type of base has a layer of springs on top for a more gentle support..
