Reflex foam is an innovative and pliable material that easily springs back into shape, like a ‘reflex’, hence the name. Constructed from a medium to firm, high-density polyurethane foam, the material is very similar to memory foam, but features larger bubbles. Imagine a balloon filled with water. When pressure is applied to this, bubbles in the air do not escape, and instead are displaced ‘sideways’. Once pressure is relieved, the bubbles spring back into shape and the balloon regains its shape, just like a reflex mattress.
