The Solar Backcare single mattress from Highgrove Beds has a robust, firm, open coil spring unit with a micro quilted damask cover. Micro quilting sews the outer damask cover to the top layers creating a quilted pattern that covers the whole sleeping surface. This results in less upholstery movement avoiding any lumps appearing in the mattress. It has an open coil spring unit that offers a firm support. Open coil spring units are made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. To avoid border breakdown the edge of the spring unit is strengthened by a thick, rod-edge wire that adds support to the perimeter of the mattress. The mattress is supported upon a platform style, solid top divan base. It is offered in several colours and with or without storage. There is even the choice of standard castors or stylish silver glides.
